Alanna Francis (she/her) is a Queer Creole femme hailing from the West Coast, particularly Seattle, with a fervent dedication to investing in people and communities. Loren has a deep passion for fat liberation, disability justice, and anything that will shake up the status quo.

Jake is the gay neurospicy gemini behind Functions and Gatherings and was the one to bring this team together. When they’re not at an event behind the clipboard, they can be found belting 90s Lady Country in the car, reading as many books as they can about magic and gay kissing, and serving some kind of loud gender bending fashion ensemble.
about the show
It’s important to us to start by acknowledging that we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the many folks before us that paved the way! The fight for marriage equality has been a long one and is still ongoing for our disabled community members. Here in Seattle, we were lucky to have Jenny Harding from New Chapter Weddings lay the ground work for LGBTQ Wedding representation with her show One Love. We extend our deepest gratitude and hope to continue this legacy with the next generation, Love Altared.
The show was born from our combined years of relationship building in weddings and events as well as lived experience as queer people. Over and over again, we seeing what’s missing and want to create better experiences for other queer people in these spaces.
Love Altared isn’t just about showing you more of what you’ve already seen. All of our vendors have reputations of outstanding service in the wedding industry and excel at what they do. We want to show you what’s possible. What’s next. The possibilities are endless for creativity in celebrating sacred queer love, and we want to lead the way in transforming these ideas into actions.
